MARINA MAHFUZ INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANCY
A LITTLE ABOUT MY STORY AND JOURNEY
It all started in college, when I was in the first class of International Relations at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). My dream at the time was to be a diplomat and serve Brazil's foreign policy. However, when I started studying for the entrance exam, I began teaching English to fill my time. What was meant to be a "side job" turned into a passion, a profession, and a way of life.
I obtained my CELTA from Cambridge. I completed a second degree - a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese-English Literature (SENAC SP). I earned a Master's degree in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English from the University of São Paulo (USP). I published articles, conducted academic research, and worked in various schools (CNA Idiomas, Wisdom English School, Black 'n' White Language Solutions, and Associação Alumni). I served as a pedagogical coordinator. I developed courses, materials, an app, and an English travel guide. Currently, I also work for São Paulo Open Centre and the Bridge Education Group.
While I was teaching, I started working with document translation, simultaneous interpreting – I even translated for the Namibian ambassador in Brazil! – consular assistance for visas, and international consulting in the Foreign Trade field. Phew!
My company is the culmination of all the activities I have performed and continue to perform with care, attention, and excellence, always ready to assist in learning and international connections through languages and culture.
